Thanksgiving Travel

Over my Thanksgiving vacation I flew to Montana to spend time with friends there. One of the families from Colorado just moved there this fall and my friend Sherylyn teaches there. I spent a couple nights at Mike’s and was there for Thanksgiving day. It was so much fun to be with their family again! And see my little buddy Christopher! Winking smile  Feels like being at home with my family. Smile Then I spent most of the rest of my time with Sherri. We went to Boulder Hot Springs on Friday, rather than go shopping. Smile It was a lot of fun and very relaxing! Every teacher needs to go the hot springs once in awhile…or a hot tub would work. Winking smile Saturday we just stayed around the house, other than taking a walk in the zero degree weather. It really didn’t feel bad, we were quite bundled up. Smile Sunday Sherri and I went to Mike and Brenda’s for lunch and spent the afternoon there, playing games. Then we went to see Wendell and Sara’s new baby girl. We spent the rest of our evening at Eldy’s playing Rook. Monday I went with Sherri to school. She teaches 3rd and 4th. It was fun being in her classroom and, wow, it is kind of fun checking 3rd and 4th grade work! Winking smile I didn’t take many pictures in Montana, but I do have some from school on Monday, so here they are. As you can see, Sherri has a Dr. Suess theme for her room. Smile

I did have some trouble on the way home from Montana. My flight out of Great Falls was delayed, causing me to miss my connecting flight in Salt Lake. Thankfully since it was due to mechanical errors, the airlines gave me a voucher for Hilton Garden Inn. It was very nice! I was able to sleep in the next morning as my flight wasn’t until 11:30. I was on standby for the flight, but I did get on it thankfully. If I hadn’t, I would have had to wait until 9:22 that evening to fly home. Jolene came to my rescue and subbed for me Tuesday in addition to Monday. Thanks to her excellent work, it was very easy for me to get back into school on Wednesday even though I was gone longer than planned. Smile
